What actually changes
It is not dryness. It is a barrier that leaks.
The outer layer of skin holds water in with a mortar of lipids — ceramides, cholesterol and fatty acids. That mortar thins with age, so water leaves faster than it is replaced. Nothing you drink fixes it, and a light lotion sits on top of it rather than restoring it.
This is a cosmetic moisturiser, not a treatment. Urea at 10% is a concentration that has been studied in adults aged 60 to 75; that describes the ingredient, not a clinical trial of this finished formula, and we will not imply otherwise. Skin conditions are a conversation for a doctor.

Is 10% urea going to sting?
Urea can tingle briefly on skin that is cracked or broken. On intact dry skin most people feel nothing. Patch test first, and do not use it on open skin.
Can I really use it on my face?
Yes — it is fragrance-free and carries no retinol or AHA, which is what usually makes a body cream unsuitable for the face. Keep it away from the eye area.
Why no retinol?
Retinol speeds up skin turnover. A barrier that is already losing water faster than it can replace it does not need to be pushed harder.
How is this different from the 20% urea balm?
The balm is a stronger, thicker night product for shins, elbows and heels. This cream is the daily, all-over one. Many people use both.
Is it greasy?
No. It absorbs without a film, so you can dress straight after.
