It's made with ST25 - a Vietnamese rice variety developed through two decades of research in Sóc Trăng province, in the heart of the Mekong Delta. 

 

ST25 is known for its long translucent grains, natural pandan-leaf aroma, and exceptionally rich nutrient profile - qualities that come from the Delta's tropical alluvial soil and mineral-rich freshwater system.

And why fermented?

When this rice is fermented, something important happens. The fermentation process, guided by natural microorganisms, breaks down the grain's cellular structure and concentrates its bioactive compounds into smaller, more skin-absorbable forms. The result is a ferment filtrate rich in:

 

Ferulic acid - a potent, stable antioxidant that helps protect skin from environmental stress and supports the effectiveness of other antioxidants in your routine.

Gamma-oryzanol - a compound found exclusively in rice bran (no other grain produces it), studied for its ability to help calm inflammation and support skin exposed to UV stress.

Amino acids & polysaccharides - natural building blocks that help maintain hydration, support skin repair, and contribute to a softer, smoother texture over time.

The glow secret Vietnamese women have known for generations

For generations, Vietnamese women have rinsed their skin and hair with "nước vo gạo" - the milky, nutrient-rich water left over from washing rice. It was never marketed. Never branded. Just passed quietly from mothers to daughters as part of daily life in the Mekong Delta. And the fermented ST25 rice itself contributes: its natural polysaccharides form a breathable film that helps reduce moisture loss throughout the day, so your skin holds onto hydration long after the toner absorbs.

Calm skin glows brighter

Many brightening toners lead with high-concentration actives that can leave skin reactive, red, or tight. This formula takes the opposite approach: calm first, brighten second.

Vietnamese-sourced Centella Asiatica sits at position #2 in the formula - not buried at the bottom of the ingredient list. Its triterpenoids (including asiaticoside, madecassic acid, and asiatic acid) help reduce visible redness, support barrier recovery, and create a calm baseline before brightening actives do their work. 

Balanced for combination skin
